City of Toronto Events and Attractions – June 2014
June! The sun comes out, Torontonians emerge from their winter hibernation and Toronto’s diverse nature shapes the event landscape with many varied happenings. This year, Toronto will be the first North American city to host WorldPride, the international festival celebrating gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered lifestyles, increasing the significance of the city’s annual Pride Week celebration.
The foodie culture holds strong, drawing big crowds and big bucks for culinary-centric benefits and events. Intellectual life flourishes as well, so look for great events all month long.

For ten days each June, the Luminato Festival transforms theatres, parks and public spaces across the city and creates a home for artists to come play, share and create.

Dragon Boat Race Festival

This festival combines a sporting event with loads of entertainment and events that have a multi-cultural flare. It’s held on Toronto Centre Island and approx. 200 teams with over 6,000 paddlers compete in over 100 races over the 2 days.
