June! The sun comes out, Torontonians emerge from their winter hibernation and Toronto’s diverse nature shapes the event landscape with many varied happenings. This year, Toronto will be the first North American city to host WorldPride, the international festival celebrating gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered lifestyles, increasing the significance of the city’s annual Pride Week celebration.
The foodie culture holds strong, drawing big crowds and big bucks for culinary-centric benefits and events. Intellectual life flourishes as well, so look for great events all month long.
